Record summer at Humberside Airport

The poor weather this summer resulted in record numbers of passengers at Humberside Airport. Between May and August the airport reported a 30 percent increase compared to the same period in 2008, meaning that Humberside experienced its busiest ever summer.
Humberside Airport Travel's business manager Amanda George said the results are particularly good news for the region's travel sector, which had been suffering at the hands of the struggling economy.
