British Airways has announced an expansion of its services to Entebbe, Uganda this winter. The airline has announced that it will operate two additional flights between Entebbe and Heathrow from the end of October, bringing to five the number of flights available per week.
The flights, which operate each Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, to put BA on a par with competitors KLM and Brussels Airlines, who have seen rapid growth of their services between Europe from Uganda in recent years. Speaking in Kampala, BA commercial manager for Uganda Faith Chaitezvi said the move demonstrated the confidence the airline has in Uganda as a destination.
