New boss for Heathrow Express
28.01.12
Heathrow Express, the rail service connecting Heathrow Airport to central London owned by airport operator BAA, has appointed ex Heathrow Airline Business Development Director, Keith Greenfield as its new boss with immediate effect.
In his previous role at the airport Mr Greenfield was responsible for establishing and developing commercial relationships between the airlines based at Heathrow and the airport itself. Prior to this for nine years he headed up Orange UK’s Wholesale Business division.
He said: ‘I have always admired the attention to detail, customer care, service and reliability that I have experienced at Heathrow Express as a customer and look forward to taking Heathrow Express into a new era in 2012.’
He will have some immediate concerns. Although the service was recently rated second best in the UK in a passenger survey, some of its staff are currently carrying out a strike vote over the dismissal of a driver and alleged victimisation of a union representative.
