Former BAA bosses approached by bid teams

Corporate predators circling UK airport operator BAA have approached former executives to join their bid teams, the Independent reports. The news comes after the Competition Commission released its 'emerging thinking' last week, indicating that BAA may be forced to sell one or more airports in both the South-east and Scotland to crack the monopolies.
Senior employees who have left the operator over the past 18 months have confirmed that they have been asked to advise on potential bids for Gatwick, Stansted and BAA's Scottish airports, the newspaper reports.
One former BAA executive told the Independent: ‘Anybody who used to work at BAA is obviously going to interest those parties looking to go in there and buy the airports.’
