Continental cut Heathrow – Cleveland flights

Weak demand has prompted Continental Airlines to cut back its inaugural season of flights between Heathrow Airport and Cleveland. The airline intended to operate its daily seasonal service until September 26, but has cut this back so that it will end on September 8.
The Heathrow service replaced Continental's previous seasonal route between Cleveland and Gatwick. A spokesman for the airline said: ‘Demand has really been so dampened by economic conditions that we're ending the summer season a couple of weeks earlier.'
