24.04.11
Passengers passing through Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 can now try some tasty French cakes thanks to the opening of the new Ladurée patisserie. The famous French bakery has opened a fairytale coach-shaped stand in T5 to tempt the over 30 million passengers a year who pass through the terminal.
Ladurée is one of the best-known makers of macaroons, selling 15,000 every day. Passengers can enjoy the Ladurée’s signature dainty, pastel-coloured macaroons in numerous shades and flavours including pistachio, vanilla and rose. Cupcakes, chocolates and other baked goods are also on offer.
Chris Annetts, Heathrow Head of Category for Food and Beverage, said: ‘We are absolutely thrilled to be working with Ladurée. Their macaroons are world renowned so where better to offer people the chance to enjoy these bite-sized treats than Heathrow, which flies more people to and from the world’s biggest cities than any other UK airport.’
