BMI to launch Heathrow – Vienna flights

BMI has announced plans to launch a new service from Heathrow to Vienna on March 28. The route will link BMI into fellow Lufthansa subsidiary Austrian Airlines network, as it is the home base of the German airline’s other recent acquisition.
Austrian already operates two services a day on the route, and the new BMI flights will increase frequency on the route by the group’s airlines to five a day. We would guess that a codeshare on the flights will operate, but this has yet to be announced.
