SAS to accept self-print boarding passes at UK airports
18.12.07
Scandinavian airline SAS is introducing self-print boarding passes for its UK flights. Self-print boarding passes will be accepted on all SAS services from Heathrow, London City, Aberdeen, Birmingham and Manchester airports.
Passengers can check in online up to 22 hours before a flight and select or change their seat or class of travel. The passes they print have a barcode that is unique to the passenger and allows them to proceed straight to airport security, where the barcode is checked via a scanner.
Passengers wishing to check in luggage can use the SAS Self Service Kiosks and deposit their luggage at the fast bag drop facility.
Lars-Ove Filipson, general manager UK & Ireland, said short stay business travellers with only hand luggage will be able to dramatically streamline their airport experience, making travel more convenient and expedient.
