Gulf Air to cut Heathrow flights
18.01.10
Bahrain’s national airline Gulf Air is to reduce the number of flights it operates from the UK to the Middle Eastern country. The number of daily flights from Heathrow would be cut from three to two for the summer season.
The move forms part of the airline’s three-year strategy to streamline the business and make it commercially viable. Chief executive officer Samer Majali said it was dropping one of two evening flights but would still have enough capacity to meet demand on the route during the summer.
