Oman Air upgrade Heathrow – Muscat service
12.12.09
A new three-class service has been introduced by Oman Air on its Heathrow-Muscat route. The first, business and economy class cabins feature on Airbus A330-300s on the daily service, together with new in-flight entertainment and menus.
The carrier claims its first class mini suite offers the longest lie-flat bed available on any commercial plane and is set within an 87-inch pitch. The suite offers a 25.5-inch wide seat with an 8 point massage system built in, stowage for hand luggage, dedicated space to hang a coat and a 23-inch video monitor.
With just six seats within the first class cabin, together with a lounge area, the airline is aiming for service akin to flying in an exclusive private jet. The business class cabin offers 20 lie-flat seats, each within a pitch of 82 inches, fitted in a four-abreast, one-two-one configuration.
Economy class offers 204 seats in a two-four-two configuration, each within a pitch of 34 inches.
