BA launch Apple 3G iPhone service

British Airways has become the first airline to develop a fully functional platform for the Apple iPhone 3G, which launched today. The new service via BA.com allows handset users to access real-time flight information as well as book flights.
BA chief information officer Paul Coby said: ‘The iPhone is revolutionising mobile communications and allows us to provide instant access to arrivals and departures information that will enhance the experience of travelling with BA. We are always seeking to improve the service our customers enjoy by the smart use of innovative technology and the iPhone is a fantastic way to achieve this.’
