JAL may axe Heathrow - Kansai Flights
10.07.08
Japan Airlines is considering axing flights between Heathrow and Kansai by March 2009, according to Japanese press reports. The move is part of the airline's plan to streamline its flight operations in response to surging fuel costs.
JAL currently operates a round-trip flight a day between Kansai and Heathrow. However, the service has suffered low profitability due to weak demand from business users. The withdrawal of JAL will leave no long-haul international flights at Kansai International Airport.
