EgyptAir boost Heathrow flights
08.07.10
EgyptAir has launched extra services to cope with increased demand for flights between Heathrow and Cairo. The airline will be operating double daily service on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and daily on the other weekdays, in addition to the weekly service between Luxor and Heathrow.
The airline gained new slots (we assume renting the from partner BMI) and this week increased the number of direct weekly flights between the two cities to 10, in addition to another seven codeshare flights with BMI.
Captain Alaa Ashour, Chairman and CEO of EgyptAir, said: ‘We want to increase frequencies to reach double or triple daily service on our major routes. We have watched closely the demand on our Heathrow route, and the increase was significant. This encouraged us to launch for these new flights.’
