Fergie told off for texting at 20,000ft

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson landed himself in hot water when he sent a text from his mobile phone - on a passenger jet at 20,000ft, the Mirror reports. He received a 'stern ticking-off from BA cabin crew', although nothing compared to the hairdryer treatment he gives out, we are sure.
The newspaper reports that Sir Alex, 66, turned on his phone when the captain announced his flight from Manchester would shortly be arriving at Heathrow's new T5. His chauffeur was waiting at Terminal 1. Realising the error, he sent him a text. But he was seen by air crew - who ordered him to switch off his phone immediately.
The incident happened on Wednesday morning, after Man U's 1-0 Champions League triumph against Barcelona at Old Trafford. A fellow passenger told the newspaper that 'the ruddy-faced manager was very apologetic’, adding: ‘He went even redder than normal.’
