Probation for Virgin air rage passenger
03.07.08
A San Francisco judge placed a female passenger on probation for a wild outburst on board a Virgin Atlantic transatlantic flight from Heathrow that resulted in her being restrained.
The San Francisco Chronicle reports that Anne-Marie Kivinen, 38, was charged with a felony charge of interfering with a flight crew after she lost control on a Virgin Atlantic flight from Heathrow to San Francisco last week.
The newspaper said Ms Kivinen apparently got into a shouting match with another passenger and then turned her wrath on her fiance, whom she head-butted, and on crew members, who had to restrain her.
She pleaded guilty to misdemeanour assault and was placed on two years of probation and ordered not to drink alcohol the next time she takes a flight.
