With under 270 days to go until the London 2012 Olympic Games, the ninth 2012 merchandise shop has opened at Heathrow Airport's Terminal 3. Wenlock (the London 2012 Olympic mascot), Mandeville (the London 2012 Paralympic mascot), LOCOG Head of Licensing and Retail Simon Lilley and Retail Director at Heathrow Muriel Zingraff were on hand to cut the ceremonial ribbon.
With approximately 20.4 million passengers travelling on over 107,387 flights each year via Terminal 3, it is set to give long-haul and European visitors the opportunity to own a piece of the historic games as they pass through one of London’s busiest terminals. The wide selection of products available include adidas clothing, home ware items ranging from ceramics to bedding, mascot toys and figurines; official Games collectable items such as pins and coins, books and guides and best sellers such as the Routemaster bus die cast model.
