New ‘turndown’ service for American Airlines’ premium Heathrow passengers
01.09.11
American Airlines is upgrading its services for premium (business and first class) passengers on flights from Heathrow today. First-class passengers flying on select flights will be treated to the carrier's new ‘turndown’ service. Passengers in the business-class cabin also receive new amenity packs.
From today first-class customers flying on Boeing 777s between the US and Heathrow will receive a quilted bed topper custom-designed to fit American's Flagship Suite, pyjamas and slippers as part of the airline's new turndown service. They will also receive a lightweight day blanket, new premium duvet and pillow, and an amenity kit containing Dermalogica skin care products and other travel goodies.
Passengers travelling in American's business class cabin between the US and London onboard Boeing 777s, 767-300s and international 757s will also receive a duvet and pillow, slippers, and a new amenity kit.
And for those in economy, the airline announced last week that it would start to charge extra for window and aisle seats !
