Work resumes on Glasgow Airport Rail Link

Glasgow Airport will move one step closer to its new rail routes when work gets underway on the latest phase of the project today. Network Rail begins an overhaul and remodelling of the overhead structures on the track to prepare for the Glasgow Airport Rail Link.
Once operational, the new services will provide passengers in the west of Scotland easy access to the airport. However, commuters between Paisley Gilmour Street and Glasgow Central are likely to suffer delays every Sunday between August 31 and October 19 while the engineering work takes place.
