SNP ‘didn’t think through Glasgow Airport rail link decision’
30.09.09
Finance minister John Swinney has been accused of failing to carry out a proper assessment of how to save money before cancelling the Glasgow Airport Rail Link, the Evening Times reports.
Des McNulty, Labour's transport spokesman, said Mr Swinney and his party did not establish that it would be the ‘least damaging option.’ His comments came after it emerged an urgent review has been ordered into how to utilise major upgrades to railway infrastructure that were originally to be part of the abandoned project and have already taken place or been contracted.
