Security alert on Glasgow flight
23.07.08
A flight from the Canary Islands to Glasgow Airport was delayed for three hours on Monday after a security alert, the BBC reports.
The alert on the Flyglobespan plane in Gran Canaria happened when cabin crew found three dismantled mobile phones. The captain informed local police after inbound passengers had disembarked. The Guardia Civil conducted a search before the plane was given the all-clear.
A Flyglobespan spokesman told the BBC: ‘We apologise for the delay but the safety of passengers is our primary concern.’
