Scare for passengers on Glasgow holiday flight
22.11.11
Holidaymakers were terrified when their plane was forced to ‘climb steeply’ as it came in to land at Glasgow Airport yesterday, the Evening Times reports.
There were around 200 passengers on the Thomas Cook flight when the pilot suddenly had to change course because another aircraft was blocking the runway. However, a spokesman for air traffic control company NATS said passengers had not been in danger.
Passengers were flying to Glasgow from Lanzarote when the incident happened around 18:00 last night.
