Terror alert at Glasgow Airport

Glasgow Airport was hit by a terror alert yesterday, when staff discovered of a suspicious package. The alarm was raised shortly after 10:00, when the item was spotted in the main terminal.
Police officers called to the scene removed the packet and took it away for examination. This eventually showed that the item was harmless. A spokesman for Strathclyde Police said no one was evacuated during the incident and that 28-year-old man was helping detectives with their inquiries.
