Thomas Cook land Scottish passengers in England again

Holiday firm Thomas Cook has been accused of giving Glasgow Airport bound passengers a second class service after a second flight was ‘needlessly’ diverted to an English airport, the Evening Times reports.
Passengers on the return trip from Gran Canaria to Glasgow were told their plane could not land at Glasgow Airport ‘due to freezing fog’ and would be diverted to Manchester. However, the newspaper reports that no planes were refused permission to land at the airport and other aircraft of a similar size were landing and taking off without problems.
The Evening Times reported last week that passengers on a Las Palmas return holiday flight to Glasgow Airport with Thomas Cook had a 20-hour delay and were re-routed to East Midlands on Boxing Day. Glasgow SNP MSP Sandra White told the newspaper: ‘People in Scotland are being treated like second class citizens.’
