Flybe has completed the installation of 64 new self service electronic check-in kiosks at regional airports across the UK, 'offering passengers the additional choice and most hassle-free method of check-in,' a spokesman said. Initial usage of the machines has exceeded expectations, with over 40% of Flybe’s customers them.
Simon Lilley, Director of Marketing, Flybe said: ‘We are committed to getting the millions of passengers we carry each year through the check in process as quickly and efficiently as possible. These machines minimise queuing and really do speed things up, allowing our passengers to better enjoy their travel experience with Flybe.'
‘We are pleased with the customer uptake, and not surprised that such hassle free check-in channels are proving so popular. We will now be focusing on driving usage even higher, plus working on implementation of the next step, which will see passengers checking-in by mobile phone.’
The new SelfServ kiosks have been installed at 13 UK airports at which Flybe is based. They are now available at Exeter, Guernsey, Inverness, Aberdeen, Newquay, Jersey, Leeds Bradford, Robin Hood, Norwich, Southampton, Cardiff, Isle of Man and Glasgow Airport.
