New Glasgow Airport bus takes off
13.05.10
A new bus link will connect Glasgow Airport and North Ayrshire for the first time this week when Arriva start their new 800 service. People from Largs, Kilbirnie and Beith will be able to travel directly to and from the airport from Monday to Saturday and the bus will also call at Johnstone and Paisley.
With a journey time of around 80 minutes in each direction, the bus service is the first direct public transport link between Glasgow Airport and Ayrshire. Amanda McMillan, managing director of Glasgow Airport, said: ‘Hundreds of thousands of our passengers [nearly 10%, according to the airports figures] travel from Ayrshire every year. The Arriva service will make it easier for them to make that journey by public transport.’
