Glasgow Airport passengers continue to fall

Passengers at Glasgow Airport have gone into free fall, plummeting more than a fifth in the past two years and showing no sign of a recovery. New figures released yesterday show the airport handled just 715,200 passengers last month - 151,000 down on the same month last year.
A spokesman for the airport said fewer people are flying, but Edinburgh Airport reported passengers up 3.8% on a year ago. with Gatwick and Heathrow also reporting higher passengers last month than in 2008.
