Bus crash at Glasgow Airport

Twenty two bus passengers were taken to hospital after a bus crashed through the Glasgow Airport perimeter fence. The accident happened at about 07:30 on the A726 Barnesford Road, between Inchinnan and Paisley.
The bus, a number 19 service from Bridge of Weir is operated by Barrhead-based Riverside Transport. The 51-year-old female driver was among those taken to hospital and was said to be in shock.
No-one was seriously injured, they were described as 'walking wounded' with 'bumps and scrapes', with ten ambulances taking twenty two people to hospital for checks. The road was closed for about two hours as the emergency services struggled to clear debris from the scene. Police said investigations were continuing into how the accident happened.
A spokesman for Glasgow Airport said their operations and flights were not affected.
