Icelandair to resume Glasgow flights
10.05.09
Icelandair is to resume flights from Glasgow Airport in August. The airline cancelled its service, which had run for more than 60 years from Scotland, because of the economic situation in the country, but will resume a twice weekly service to Reykjavik on August 27.
Amanda McMillan, managing director of Glasgow Airport, said that Iceland is a ‘must see’ destination of 2009, with the strength of the pound against the Krona making it even more appealing. She said: ‘This is excellent news for anyone interested in visiting this historic and fascinating country.'
