Glasgow Airport – Dubai route nears 1m passengers

Emirates Dubai route from Glasgow Airport is set to hit one million passengers, as the carrier today celebrated the fifth anniversary of the service. In addition to being popular with Scottish travellers, more than 300,000 overseas visitors from destinations throughout the Emirates network have used the service to visit Scotland, contributing more than £140m to the country's economy.
Vic Sheppard, Emirates' vice president UK, said: ‘Our service to and from Glasgow is an incredible success story. We are delighted with the success of the route.’
