Man remanded over Glasgow Airport plane fire

A man has been remanded in custody after he was charged with setting fire to a plane at Glasgow Airport. Albanian Safet Bukoshi, 35, was charged with wilfully setting fire to a British Midland plane which at the international terminal in January 2005.
The petition heard at Paisley Sheriff Court said the fire caused damage to the fuselage, spoiler, two windows and interior trim. Mr Bukoshi made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody, having been extradited to Scotland from Ireland last Friday.
