Glasgow Airport hero suffers brain haemorrhage
05.01.08
A hero of the terror attack on Glasgow Airport is fighting for his life after suffering a brain haemorrhage. Stephen Clarkson was admitted to hospital on Sunday after collapsing at his mother's home with excruciating pain after an aneurysm burst in his head, the Daily Record reports.
Groundsman Mr. Clarkson, 41, 'mowed down' burning bomber Kafeel Ahmed with a forearm smash during the attack on June 30. He has undergone an emergency operation, which was unsuccessful, and faces more dangerous surgery. Stephen's fellow-hero, Alex McIlveen, told the newspaper: 'He's in a really bad way.' Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.
