'Full emergency' at Gatwick

30.03.08

A 'full emergency' was declared at Gatwick when a plane trying to land suffered a hydraulic leak, the Crawley Observer reports.

The Monarch Boeing 757 touched down safely around 13:00 yesterday and the situation was quickly downgraded to local standby and dealt with by BAA Gatwick fire crew. No one was hurt and a spokesman from the airport said: ‘The plane landed safely and there were no issues with passengers or damage.’
