Zoom to add over 60 staff at Gatwick
23.04.08
Lost cost transatlantic airline Zoom has created more than 60 new jobs at Gatwick due to route expansion. The new posts have been created due to the introduction of twice-weekly services to Fort Lauderdale (in May) and San Diego (in June).
Zoom’s increased service to Canada this summer has also added to the need for additional staff at the airport, with more non-stop flights and additional seats to key destinations. The additional flights mean airline’s summer schedule from Gatwick offers 33% more seats than last year.
Most of the 62 new positions are for cabin crew, but there are also jobs for pilots, customer service agents and engineers, coupled to a number of promotions for existing team members as the airline’s management team grows.
