Nintendo 3DS users to get free Wi-Fi access at UK airports
24.01.12
Nintendo have announced a new agreement with Boingo Wireless that will give Nintendo 3DS users access to an extensive network of airport Wi-Fi hotspots for free. Boingo manage Wi-Fi hotspots in airports including Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Southampton, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. 3DS devices will automatically connect to a Boingo hotspot in the vicinity, allowing online gaming and the use of the 3DS Internet Browser, without having to go through a web login.
Dawn Paine of Nintendo UK said: ‘Boingo is an excellent partner for Nintendo 3DS owners in the UK due to an extensive airport Wi-Fi network. This partnership comes at a great time for Nintendo 3DS owners, as the latest System Update has brought in an array of new features and enhancements including 3D video capture.’
