Gatwick recruit panel of experts to improve customer experience
23.09.11
Gatwick Airport has recruited a panel of independent experts to look at holidaymakers' experiences at airports in order to see how they could improve. The panel will meet to discuss current issues related to the airport and help its company come up with customer-focused solutions and initiatives.
The five inaugural members include travel reporter and presenter, John Carter, who will represent leisure travellers. Blogger and mum-of-two Becky Wiggins will speak for the family market, whilst moneymagpie.com founder Jasmine Birtles and Buying Business Travel magazine editor Mike Toynbee will focus on the interests of shoppers and corporate customers respectively. Philippa Bromley, head of independent living at the Disabled Living Foundation, is the representative for travellers with disabilities.
Stewart Wingate, Gatwick's chief executive officer, said that passengers are 'the lifeblood of any airport. By seeking independent opinion and advice, without influence from political or commercial agendas, we will be able to continue identifying the real issues affecting passengers from across the UK and across all traveller groups. Collectively we will explore and execute innovative solutions that will help build a better future for all travellers.'
