The Premier Inn Gatwick Manor Royal has been awarded the coveted New Business of the Year Award at the Whitbread Hotels and Restaurants annual conference. The property’s management team beat off competition from the 32 other new Premier Inn hotels that opened last year.
Karen Colbert, new openings manager for Premier Inn, said: ‘This team delivered a truly outstanding set of results this year. They have delivered a market leading occupancy performance, achieved an all green set of results and created a great reputation in the area including their fantastic relationship with some of the key airlines.’
Stephen Clayton, the GM of Gatwick hotel, said: ‘We are absolutely thrilled to receive this award, which is a testament to the team’s hard work over the last year in helping deliver our business goals. To achieve so much in our first year is a reflection of their commitment and passion, and we are looking forward to growing on our success in 2011.’
