Cosmos to resume Gatwick – Kenya flights

Cosmos will resume its charter programme to Mombassa, Kenya in May, with weekly flights from Gatwick. The tour operator said its current scheduled programme from Heathrow to Nairobi to serve safari combinations will also continue throughout the summer season.
The programme was suspended at the beginning of the year following civil unrest in Kenya. The Monday charter service from Gatwick, operated by Monarch Airlines, will start up again on May 5.
Sara Gelder, head of specialist products at Cosmos, said: ‘As a result of assurances we have received from the Kenyan Government and advice from our agents and suppliers on the ground, we believe that Kenya is now firmly open for business.’
