Gatwick working with NATS to distribute flight noise
17.12.11
Gatwick Airport has said that they will not put on extra night flights, and that they are working on a plan that would mean plane noise being shared around areas bordering the hub more equally, the Edenbridge Courier reports.
Spokeswoman Sarah Baranowski told the newspaper: ‘We are working with NATS (National Air Traffic Services) on a rotating respite idea for people affected by approach noise at Gatwick Airport. This is one of several initiatives we are working on at the moment, and we will be in a position to offer more detail early next year.’
