Virgin to axe Kingston, Jamaica flights?

Jamaican Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett is to meet with Virgin Atlantic Airways officials after reports that the airline intends to stop flying into Kingston early next year. The new move will not affect flights from Gatwick Airport into the tourist resort city of Montego Bay.
Mr Bartlett told a local newspaper that the planned pull-out could possibly be as a result of the 'softness' of the route. He said: ‘We are aware that the UK market is costing a bit because there has been a reduction in the market to the Caribbean by some 300-odd percent.'
