Delta shut Gatwick lounge
08.05.08
Soaring oil prices and weakening consumer demand have seen Delta Air Lines close some of their 'Crown Room Clubs' - its airport lounges - including its lounge at Gatwick Airport. Instead, its passengers still will have access to either a shared lounge or one belonging to another airline.

Delta spokesman Kent Landers said. ‘These changes align the worldwide offering of clubs to our flight schedule while at the same time maintaining access to the clubs where customers need them the most.’ He said the decision to close some of the Crown Rooms was made earlier this year and was based on fuel prices, which have doubled in a year.
