Plan to convert unused office block in to Gatwick hotel approved

Planning permission has been granted for an office block at Gatwick Airport to be converted into a new 192-bedroom hotel. Called Longbridge House, the block will become a Hampton by Hilton economy hotel, and will feature a lounge, bar, restaurant, meeting rooms and fitness room plus coffee shop with a direct link to the North Terminal’s concourse level.
The existing structure will be retained and increased by two storeys. The new airport hotel will be operated by Shiva Hotels under a franchise agreement with Hilton.
