Gatwick Airport train station upgrade details to be revealed today

Details surrounding the planned facelift of Gatwick Airport's train station will be revealed today. A public meeting will be held at the Hilton Hotel Gatwick Airport near the South Terminal at 14:00, where attendees will discover more about how the station will be transformed in time for the 2012 Olympic Games.
At the event, members of the Gatwick Airport Consultative Committee (GATCOM) will analyse plans to re-model the track at the station and improve it for the games. Dr John Godfrey, chairman of GATCOM, said: ‘Gatwick will be second only to Heathrow as a main gateway into Britain for the biggest sporting event in the world, and the passenger experience will be very important.'
