Awards for Virgin Atlantic

Virgin Atlantic took lots of awards at the 2010 British Travel Awards ceremony this week. The airline was voted the best business and first class service, with Emirates picking up the silver award in the category and British Airways taking bronze.
Virgin was also named the best economy class airline and the top provider of scheduled long-haul flights, before picking up the airline of the year accolade. Other winners on the night included Manchester as the airport of the year and New York as the most popular city break hotspot.
The awards were based on more than 220,000 votes cast by members of the public.
