Virgin Atlantic Puerto Rico flights to take off
06.11.09
Virgin Atlantic is to start flights between the UK and its ninth Caribbean destination tomorrow. The Boeing 747-400 service between Gatwick and San Juan, Puerto Rico – one of the region’s key cruise hubs – will complement the airline’s presence in the Caribbean with existing flights to Barbados, Antigua, St Lucia, Grenada, Tobago, Havana and Montego Bay and Kingston in Jamaica.
Flights from Gatwick depart on Saturdays at 09:25, arriving into San Juan at 16:05 the same day (local time) and depart on Saturdays from San Juan leaving at 18:05, arriving into London Gatwick at 08:35 the following morning. The new service allows Virgin Holidays Cruises to offer a range of cruise holidays from the island, a popular starting point for US based cruise lines.
