EYE launch giant digital advertising sites at UK airports
05.07.11
Airport media company EYE has announced the launch of its new Digital Landmark sites, the first wave of an extensive development programme across its portfolio of eight UK airports. It is investing a £3.5 million refurbishing the advertising sites across each of the airports. Over 90% of this investment will be spent on new digital advertising boards, creating a flexible mix of locations, formats and networks to give advertisers greater choice in reaching the airport audience.
New landscape digital screens – switched this week on at Gatwick Airport – will form part of EYE’s Digital Landmark network, which includes six sites across Gatwick, Stansted and Manchester airports. These premium quality screens will be located in and around areas with the longest 'dwell times' to deliver a strong broadcast message.
L'Oréal is the first advertiser to appear on the screens at Gatwick, which are situated in the South Terminal’s departure lounge, just above the main duty free shopping area.
