Gatwick wins social media award

Gatwick Airport has picked up a social media award. Its 'talk to Gatwick' campaign received the accolade at the CIPR 2011 Excellence Award for Best Practice in Social media, which reward the effective and innovative use of social media. Judges called the airport's campaign insightful, creative and thorough.
Sam Holgate, Gatwick's head of airport communications, said: 'We're delighted our efforts have been recognised by the judges and we are looking forward to sharing more new ideas with our passengers soon.'
