Monarch plane problem causes 18½ hour delay

A Monarch flight from Palma, Majorca to Gatwick had to return to Palma over the weekend after the crew reported engine trouble whilst climbing. This resulted in a delay of 18½ hours for most passengers, with some waiting even longer.
Flight ZB-229 landed safely about 30 minutes after taking off. Most of the passengers were transferred onto another aircraft which left with an 18½ hour delay, but others had to be rebooked as the replacement plane could not carry all of those delayed.
