Man admits airport bomb hoaxes
01.09.11
A man pleaded guilty to making a hoax bomb threat claiming a device was at one of two major UK airports yesterday. Kevin Flynn, 31, of Wellington Road, Bognor, West Sussex, admitted making the phone call to police on 31 July, following a row with his wife.
Worthing magistrates heard he told Sussex Police the bomb was being taken onboard a New York-bound plane from either Gatwick or Heathrow. The court was told he was angry after the row and had wanted to ground a flight his wife was due to board. He was freed on bail to be sentenced at Chichester Crown Court on 10 October.
