Flyglobespan to operate Edinburgh – Orlando flights

The first direct flights from Edinburgh Airport to Florida are set to be launched from next summer. Flyglobespan has announced plans to offer weekly flights between Edinburgh and Orlando Stanford from June 20 until October 17 next year, with fares from £200 including taxes and charges.
A spokesman for the airline said they were ‘very excited’ about the service. Flyglobespan has operated flights from Glasgow to Florida for four years, and has already taken 150,000 holidaymakers to the US state. An Edinburgh Airport spokesman said there was ‘substantial demand’ for a direct link from both tourists and Scots living in the US.
