AMEX sign Edinburgh Airport foreign currency deal

American Express Global Foreign Exchange Services has been appointed as the exclusive foreign exchange provider at Edinburgh Airport. The first currency desks will open on February 1 and will be operational seven days per week from 04:00 to 23:00. They will be located in the landside departures, landside arrivals and international baggage reclaim areas. The remaining branches will open on May 1.
American Express Director Global Foreign Exchange Services Nick Boden said: ‘Winning the exclusive Edinburgh Airport contract is a major step in the development and expansion of our airport portfolio. We consider this a unique opportunity to start a long-term relationship with one of the UK’s fastest-growing airports and its customers.’
The key services provided at American Express Foreign Exchange desks at the airport will include foreign cash sales / purchases, American Express Travelers Cheques transactions, card member services, and online ordering. American Express already provides foreign exchange services at Glasgow and Heathrow.
